Ecclesiastes 1:18, Ignorance Is Bliss

September 30, 2012November 26, 2012

For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.

//Here’s a troubling topic. Is learning contrary to Godliness? Let me give you a couple more verses:

Your wisdom and knowledge mislead you (Isaiah 47:10)

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. (1 Corinthians 3:19)

Maybe it’s time to shut The Dubious Disciple down, and encourage everyone to frolic in ignorance? Or maybe there’s another side to the coin.

The advantage of knowledge is this: that wisdom preserves the life of its possessor. (Ecclesiastes 7:12)

Ah, so knowledge isn’t all bad! Knowledge is good, but one must rightfully divide true knowledge from false knowledge:

Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge (1 Timothy 6:20)

OK, I’ll continue operating The Dubious Disciple until it becomes clear what is true and what is false. Hang in there, this may take awhile.

    This is so true!

With so much information at our fingertips, information addiction is becoming bigger and more problematic than ever.

“With so much information at our fingertips, information addiction is becoming bigger and more problematic than ever.”

From what I see posted on Facebook, I wouldn’t worry about “information addiction”. It’s the willful ignorance that scares me… and it’s rampant on the Internet.

Our Heavenly Father made man in His image and although we do not have the depth of His wisdom we have faculties for wisdom. The archetypal man and his divinity maintained within the mind, a true archetype in itself or perhaps the archetype of man. With this said we are blessed with intelligence and the only ignorance thsy is blissful is ignorant actions we mean much from, often accompanied by suffering. Thank Him, Him that created gods, for your suffering and your joy. Christ, Jesus of Nazarene said too them (man/men), are ye not gods?

What really happened 2,000 years ago? How did a persecuted minority of end-time believers known as Christians, with their dreams of Armageddon and a conquering Messiah named Jesus, evolve into the largest religion in the world?

IT ….and they did NOT! ….they [the original Christians] were destroyed, mutilated, cut in half and were crucified on a cross….then their identity stolen by plagiarizing Satanists from the Catholic Crusades and by those from within clearly indicate that Catholicism is NOT a Christian Religion— even Pope Paul in 1962 indicated…”the smoke of Satan has entered the Vatican and not yet left—
